Overall, I felt better about this week. Still recovering from lack of sleep due to my son being sick. It took me a while to get re-motivated to run this week, but I think we are all good now...

Oh no! There goes the neighborhood - now Derek is in the blog-fray.
Good luck with your quest. It'll mean a lot to your son watching you accomplish each race. Even if sometimes you won't be around, in the big picture, I think it will be a very positive example of setting a goal, and then going for it - persistently, inexorably, and never getting lost in the enormity. The concept of "impossible" is too often just a state of mind.
