Don't forget to check out Colorado Runner Magazine, the state's only running magazine.
The main reason for this blog is to keep you updated on my quest to run a marathon in all 50 states. After each marathon, I will post my race report here. This will give you a little more insight into the event in case you are looking for a marathon to train for.
I will also keep you posted on how my training is going.
Thanks for reading!

This was a good week for me. Thursday and Friday I ran on the mountain at Boyne Highlands resort in Boyne, MI while I was there for an Association of Running Publications conference. This was great trail running in Northern MI! I was really surprised at how nice the trails were here as I was not expecting that at all!

Overall, this week was OK. I definitely need to get the miles up a lot from here, so I plan to start running just a bit farther over time. Hopefully I can get it back up to 70M/week in the next month or so. I then hope to stay there for a month and then start creeping it up to 90M/week, which is where I run my best. Once we get to 70M/week, I will add in workouts ever week instead of just sporadically.

I didn't get a long run this week because I went on last Saturday. I planned to go 15M on Saturday of this week, but Alex was up for an hour at 3:00 AM, so I decided to sleep instead. I will get my long run in on Sunday of next week.
I still have aspirations of getting back in shape to run the Germantown 50K on August 23rd, but that is only seven weeks away and I have a long way to go still...
